Bethel is a multi-generational church on the hill above Waterdown — delighting in God, our neighbours and each other. Sundays at 10:00 AM, and everyone is welcome exactly as they are.

Walking in for the first time, start to finish.
Stepping into an unfamiliar building is the hardest part. Here is exactly what happens, in order, so that nothing about Sunday morning is a surprise.
Arrive around 9:45
Pull into the lot off Dundas Street East. Fifteen minutes early gives you time to park, get your bearings and settle — especially worth it if you have children with you.
A greeter meets you at the door
They are there for exactly this. Ask them anything — where the washrooms are, where the children go, whether you’re in the right place. An usher will hand you a bulletin and help you find a seat.
Check your children in
Nursery care for under-3s is available before the service starts. Children aged 3 to 10 stay in with you for the first few songs, then head out to Sunday School together.
Stay for coffee, or slip out
Both are completely fine. If you’d like to meet someone, the welcome table has information about everything going on at Bethel and a person standing behind it who’d be glad to talk.
Dress however you like
Most people are casual. Some like to dress up. Neither is the point, and nobody is counting.
Accessibility
Hearing assistance, large-print Bibles and children’s bulletins are available from any usher. Ask — they’d rather you did.
Someone to pray with
If you would like prayer, tell a greeter or usher after the service and they will gladly sit with you.

Faith grows in small rooms as much as large ones. Whatever season you’re in, there is a group at Bethel already in it.
Sunday School
Ages 3 to 10, dismissed from the service after the opening songs.
Cadets & Boys’ Club
Boys building skills, friendships and faith — badges, campfires and all.
Small Groups
Weekly, biweekly or monthly, in homes. Singles, couples, families, all ages.
OASIS
Older Adults Sharing in Service — outings, lunches and steady friendship.
Women of Bethel
Bible study, service projects and a standing invitation to the table.
Men of Bethel
Early breakfasts, honest conversation and work days around the property.
Worship Team
If you have a heart for congregational worship and a gift for music, come play.
Community Garden
Beds tended by neighbours; the harvest goes to families who need it.
The Library
A quietly excellent collection, open to the whole congregation.
Coming up
Vacation Bible School is two weeks away.
Five mornings of songs, stories, crafts and a great deal of noise. Registration is open and free — and it fills up.

Every dollar given at Bethel supports the work of this church, our denominational partners and causes here in Waterdown and Burlington. Tax receipts are issued each February.
