Giving

Where it goes, and how to send it.

Offerings at Bethel support the running of this church, ministries across the Christian Reformed denomination, and causes here in Waterdown and Burlington. Tax receipts are issued every February.

No fees · best for tithing

Pre-authorized remittance

A set amount comes out of your bank account on the 1st or the 15th of the month. Because it moves bank to bank, nothing is deducted — the church receives every dollar. Change or stop it any time by emailing the office.

Interac e-Transfer

Send to [email protected] from online banking at any Canadian bank. Auto-deposit is on, so there is no security question. Put the cause in the message field — general fund, benevolence, VBS, garden — and it is allocated as you asked.

Questions

The practical bits

Do I need to be a member to give? No. Anyone may give to any cause.

Will I get a receipt? Yes — a single consolidated receipt for the calendar year, emailed each February, provided we have your address on file.

Can I give anonymously? Yes, though an anonymous gift cannot be receipted.

Who sees my giving record? Only the treasurer and the offering counters, who are bound to confidentiality. It is not shared with the pastor or council.
